The Strategic Partnerships Office supports the University of Cambridge’s partnerships with businesses and institutions around the world.
Our vision & mission
We build high impact, equitable and mutually beneficial partnerships with businesses, educational and public institutions in the UK and around the world that help the University deliver its mission to contribute to society.
We do this by providing strategic oversight and coordination - identifying, developing and supporting long-term partnerships with organisations that share our values, enabling productive collaborations and helping our colleagues and partners to work effectively in a complex environment.
Who we are
Based in the Old Schools, in the middle of Cambridge, the SPO is made up of the Directorate, the Public International Partnerships Team and the Business Partnerships Team.
The Directorate is responsible for the overall direction of the Strategic Partnerships Office and for managing relationships with organisations such as ARC Universities Group and the Greater Cambridge Partnership.
The Public International Partnerships Team manages formal collaborations between Cambridge and other universities and research institutions, including IARU and LERU.
